Terms of Service

Known Quantity is a private relationship-management tool for independent coaches, consultants and fractional operators. It organizes the record of your work — your meetings, your contacts, your published writing — into a running account of who to contact, why now, and what to say.

Every customer runs their own instance with their own database. Your data is never commingled with another customer’s. The product is in active development, so features change; we will not silently remove something you depend on.

You own what you put into Known Quantity and everything the service derives from it. We claim no ownership of it. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models.

Known Quantity’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. What we access and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.

You can export your data at any time, including for thirty days after you cancel. After that we delete your instance and its database.

Only connect accounts you own, and only load information you have the right to use. Your use of any service you connect stays governed by your agreement with that provider.

Don’t use Known Quantity to spam people, to harass anyone, to infringe anyone’s rights, to attack the service, or to resell access. We may suspend accounts that do.

Known Quantity writes; you send. Nothing goes to your contacts unless you send it, and the only mail we send automatically is operational notices to you.

What the AI produces is assistance, not verified fact. It can be wrong. Read it before you send it, and own what it says once you do.

Paid plans bill monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the billing period. Cancelling stops future charges. We may change fees on thirty days’ notice, never for a period you have already paid for.

We may reference your company’s name and logo as a Known Quantity customer in our marketing. We will never disclose anything about your contacts, your data, or your work — only that your company uses the service. Email us to opt out and we will remove the reference promptly.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties, and we don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

We may update these terms. Material changes take effect thirty days after we tell you about them.
